It is a seaweed full of nutrients that our body needs. It is also a seaweed that gets us excited, and to get you excited too, we thought we’d share some facts and benefits about it.
Seaweed are multi cell algae plants typically found in aquatic environments such as marine bodies, sea, and even freshwater bodies.
In support of healthy living and overall wellbeing, when algae is top ingredient in any cosmetic product, it evokes the ultimate healing power of the ocean and directly benefits the human body.
Types of Algae are, red algae or rhodophyta, green algae or chlorophyta, and brown algae or phaeophyceae.
Apart from cosmetic benefits, algae is beneficial to people culturally, industrially, nutritionally, and ecologically. It is loaded in vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Algae is known to helps protect the skin against free radicals and aids in treating many skin conditions, such as eczema, acne, and psoriasis. It is an anti-aging agent by hydrating and improving skin-cell elasticity. If the above isn’t enough, it is also a detoxifier.
Generally seaweeds contain anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial agents. It’s know medicinal effects have been proven for thousands of years, so much so that even the ancient Romans utilized it to treat wounds, burns, and rashes.
